LED spotlight can improve the illumination in front of buildings. This will produce safer pedestrian and reduce the occurrence of accidents ensuring the safety of the staff and other pedestrians.
The LED technology is able to adjust the light color according to user’s need and remarkably improve the contrast and light washing effect. Therefore it produces a better visual effect in the dark environment. Aiming at the lens of LED fixtures, the Bayer Material Science has recently cooperated with Carlco Optics to develop a special transparent Polycarbonate Makrolon material. The lenses which are manufactured with this special material have very high light transmittance ability. Thus it ensures the light can be focused and transmitted effectively.
It is reported that the branch office of Bayer Material Science in Vienna has applied the characteristics of the LED technology to the building flood lighting. Compared to the metal halide lamps, the LED spotlights developed by LEDworx in Vienna have improved the illumination in front of the buildings and produced safer pedestrian. Thomas Zeiler, the Sales Director from LEDworx said, “The new LED light is much more advantageous in illumination of channels and it illuminates the whole area more evenly. More importantly, it produces the same effects with 25% less power load. In other words, energy saving doesn’t go against quality improvement”.
Currently Bayer Material Science is testing the new Makrolon LED2634 and applying it to the lenses in this project. This new product is particularly designed for solid luminaires. It has an extremely high light transmittance and is good at resisting the LED light.
