In recent years, we have made rapid development in semiconductor lighting technology and its applications. The “11-5” Technology Achievements Exhibition held in this year became the first large exhibition in the country whose hall lighting was mainly LED lighting fixtures.
In order to better support the exhibition and publicizing of the “11-5” technology achievements, the National Semiconductor Projects and Industrial Alliance organized the manufacturers and enterprises to provide the exhibition with many different types of semiconductor lighting products, such as LED screens, LED par lights, LED spotlights, LED color stripes, LED display lights etc. More than 1,500 LED fixtures were used for the event.
The 15W LED par lights were utilized instead of the traditional 100W incandescent lights for the exhibition hall lighting. It saved more than 80% energy consumption. The LED spotlights provided supplementary illumination to the key displayed items e.g. the airplanes, which gave prominence to the extraordinary achievements. Meanwhile, the LED color stripes were used to produce video effect changing demonstration for the six-team tower structure at the key exhibition area and the rainbow structure at the Livelihood Exhibition Area, which created a wonderful atmosphere for the visitors. Moreover, the LED display lights helped the small exhibited products not be left behind by the visitors.
The extensive application of semiconductor lighting products at the “11-5” Technology Achievements Exhibition has played an important part in displaying and publicizing the achievements.
